Democrats are the reason you can't get laid.

Haven't you called kentonio a "liberal" in the past? & isn't he suggesting go all nuclear?

fedelwet 08-19-2012 10:42 AM

Speaking of this, the former governor of Pennsylvania makes 900k lobbying for the fracking industry.

Oh yeah, as a bonafide card carrying liberal, this is my opinion about nuclear:

The Greens who put the brakes on nuclear in the 70s, are in a very large part responsible for the climate change issues we have 40 years later!

The dickhead Greens in Germany are about the worst going because those morons actually wield power in government - since Fukushima, the Greens in Germany have essentially closed down all of Germany's nuclear power plants - and substituted it with domestic lignite supplies...!!!http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/rolleyes.gif

Greens the world over are basically leftie hippy morons - always have been - always will be...

Everyone who identifies as a Green should immediately be stabbed to death (shooting is more wasteful), in order to save on carbon emissions!

The truth about Germany's nuclear phase-out (By The Guardian, the world's biggest leftie/liberal paper according to dickhead ****wit rightwing c*nts!)

Pretty much, yes. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

If everybody rode horses again we really would be in deep ****. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Sorry, I'm assuming there was an insult in there but I started nodding off half way through reading it.

phernikas 08-20-2012 02:26 PM

To be fair Germany is much better with renewables than we are. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif

Re the greens though, they just piss me off as being ridiculous a lot of the time in the UK. They constantly propose things like big taxes on air travel without any consideration of the negative impact on social equality of such a move. They basically feel like a one issue party, and those are usually annoying.

I'm sure it's quite the arduous read for someone of your diminutive intellect.
You are definitive proof that a broad vocabulary is no proof of a broad mind.

Especially when you don't agree with them... we get it.

Clue..... Nukes don't cycle. They run... and run at 100% capacity.

Your mind is obviously broad enough to accept negatively stereotyping vast swaths of humanity with verifiably incorrect statements. My mind is not so accepting of ignorance. This is actually a point in my favor ...

This is relevant why?

Actually you regularly miss sarcasm and obvious hyperbole, and manage to do so with a quite soul crushing degree of tedium. Please point out which 'vast swathe of humanity' I've been negatively scapegoating.

Defeated by cross post. Damn you kentonio http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/frown.gif

pitoufsd 08-20-2012 04:08 PM

I know it's not a generally accepted practice here, but I was asking a genuine question. I don't know a huge amount about the operation of power stations, so could you explain for me in laymans terms why the output thing is such a huge issue?

limpoporanique 08-20-2012 04:14 PM

But how is that particularly relevant? Again I'm not informed on the subject, but given that gas presumably needs a constant supply of a non-renewable source, and nuclear (kinda) doesn't, does over-producing energy really pose some massive issue? If so, it would seem logical to turn to something like 95% nuclear and make up the difference with renewables no?
