I can't stand to watch the Olympics, NBC fills the broadcast with so much feel good background stories about the athletes that I want to vomit.

Summer Olympics? 5000m

Dressage is my favorite because while watching it I can't help but imagine what Colbert will say/do if Romney's horse takes the gold. (And I'm stuck imagining since I can't watch it here http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/frown.gif )

Hows the NBC coverage holding up?

On the BBC website you can catch up on any event that has been so far filmed, including jumping straight to any match within that particular competition.

For example, I can load the schedule for rowing yesterday and click on the afternoon schedule. I can watch the entire 4 hours from the start or click on any of the 23 individually named heats at the bottom of the screen to jump straight to that heat

Black Cat likes the Woz?

Tennis, the track events (used to run middle distance - 400, 800, mile) and yes, horse jumping. Aeson - you ever ride a horse before?

Comcast is pretty good. They are using 6 or 7 channels for coverage. Live coverage during most of the day.

Mens double trap shooting was won by a Brit, with a Swede coming 2nd. I didnt even see the US in the final. Perhaps all your best shooters had already died due to your 3rd world levels of gun crime

There are 12 sky sports channels here showing the olympics, according to the adverts. Im told the BBC has up to 23 livestreams. I think the freedom that the internet gives us, and has been realised here by the BBC, is to watch the judo finals from yesterday, at 11am, without being subjected to an editors cut of the highlights.

For example, Im not sure if the Russian -100kg judo gold winner meant to slip Putins watch of his wrist when he shook his hand, but I got to see that without editing.. and thats gold as far as Im concerned

I know the feeling! Why would they include an event my country doesnt get a medal in. Its a travesty!

Also, I thinks it worth noting that the NBC medal chart is dramatically different from the BBC one.

I wonder which definition of 'Winner' is considered kosher by all?

We win in air rifles, just not as often as in other contests. I think. I haven't actually run the numbers. I just think air rifles are kind of stupid. .22s are pansy-ass guns as it is.
A .22 will kill your ass dead. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif

Uzi's are an Israeli invention, I believe. Now the air strikes, well, naturally I'm going to back our Air Force.

North Korea's Key to Olympic Medals: Refrigerators For Winners, Labor Camps for Losers
By JOOHEE CHO | ABC News – 35 mins ago

Upon returning home, gold medal athletes like Kim Un-Guk and An Gum-Ae would be rewarded with handsome prize money, an apartment, a car, and additional perks like refrigerators and television sets.

But most of all, they will be rewarded with a huge jump in social status with the title of "hero" or "people's athlete."

But poor performances, especially losing to their archenemy nations like the United States or South Korea, have consequences. Rumors of athletes being sent directly to labor camps upon arriving home are not confirmed, but it is a common procedure to open "review meetings" after the sports events in which participants "assess" their own and each other's games, said Kim Yo-Han.

Spanish baggage handlers would win every medal.
