What Should I Do With This Parking Boot?

Priceless. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/lol.gif

Sell it for scrap metal and deny all knowledge.

Nidsstese 07-24-2012 07:10 AM

Why don't I just say I never saw a boot and that the kid has it? That way when I place it on the president's car they will expel him. Inter Arma Among Theives Silent Leges?

viagsjicguara 07-24-2012 07:15 AM

Try explaining that to the collection agency just before they start ruining your credit.

Alupleintilla 07-24-2012 07:16 AM

This would be more of a problem if it was the worst problem you had, which it isn't; and some that are worse, you don't even recognize. Don't sweat this.

DarrenBent 07-24-2012 07:38 AM

Yes, it's actually a terrorist boot. Their latest and greatest idea.

imporrilk 07-24-2012 03:35 PM

The obvious is him doing the speech without compensation, but getting $200 to do it. Use the $200 non compensation and pay the fine.

People, you're missing the important bit here.

Wiggy, you're Phi Beta Kappa? Doesn't that mean your degree is in the liberal arts & sciences?

Narus63 07-25-2012 06:49 AM

No Republican studies anything challenging in school. Physics > programming.

Do you ever tire of being wrong Asher?

Also isn't KH a republican?

It was said in the context of degrees, you ****ing idiot... And yet you shied away from using the term 'degree' in your post. Odd that. If you meant 'degree' then you should have used the word 'degree'.

I don't see much shame in being the last cut from a difficult program. I could have been like you and shied away from doing anything really difficult and challenging myself.
I do difficult things and challenge myself every ****ing day, Ben. I've got a technical team of over 35 people reporting to me (including those with MSc and PhDs) and I'm 28 years old. Do you think I get to do that by not doing anything difficult or challenging? I'm successful because that's exactly what I do -- seek out challenges and distinguish myself.

Meanwhile, what do you do? You study something difficult but transfer out when it got too tough to an arts degree. Then you move to the US to tutor indoctrinated children at some private Christian school in Texas? What the **** kind of challenge is that?

Well, if you aren't equating 'conservative' = 'republican', that's a rather terrible argument.
Oh, sweet sodomizing Jesus, you are so ****ing stupid...

Do you think I get to do that by not doing anything difficult or challenging? I'm successful because that's exactly what I do -- seek out challenges and distinguish myself. When was the last time you tried anything outside of your rather narrow and restricted field? You've expressed contempt - many times, for disciplines that you've never studied while shouting down those who have studied both. Personally, I think your philosophy of education is rather sad. You went to school, got a piece of paper with your name on it, but you might well have never attended for all the good it did you.

Meanwhile, what do you do? You study something difficult but transfer out when it got too tough to an arts degree. Then you move to the US to tutor indoctrinated children at some private Christian school in Texas? What the **** kind of challenge is that? I teach a class of 15 middle school students in history.

For a deaf person? Pretty difficult, actually. I'm not aware of anyone else who is a deaf teacher teaching hearing students successfully.

I'm a centrist, not a liberal. So your understanding of politics and ideology is so poor that you believe you are a centrist. Yet, you berate evil republicans and call them simpletons. Stock liberal democrat you are. Nothing special or different, in reality.

I did vote for the Conservatives last time around (though I probably won't do that next time). And yet you castigate Republicans. I see. People change. Maybe some time in the past you could have plausibly claimed to be a conservative, but that's been quite sime time ago. Now you're firmly in the liberal camp.

gunhijala 07-25-2012 07:28 AM

Ben, does it bother you that I discarded my American citizenship like the nuisance it was while you would give your only remaining testicle to get one?

Yawn. As I said, you are not challenging yourself. You know, I wonder how your coworkers would feel about your statement that they are not very intelligent people.
I'm sure those people wouldn't be surprised. The mid-level business types feel contempt for me because they ignore what I say then get backed into a corner, and have to do it anyway. I have support from the top so I don't give a **** what they think. I'm not at work to make friends (though I am friendly with most).

Other than hold meetings with stupid people and throw around buzz words like statistical analysis and psychology, you don't really do anything anymore, do you Asher? Nah, I am just the technical lead for software that 6 million classrooms use virtually every day for learning. Nothing like what you do, certainly.

The fact that you don't even understand, is telling. Are you really claiming to be the smartest guy in the room Asher? Because you don't seem very bright to me. I never claimed to be the smartest guy in the room -- there are a couple guys at work who are absolutely brilliant and definitely smarter than I am (note that none of them have BAs...)

And of course I don't seem bright to you. Nothing I say makes sense to you because your brain can't structure what normal people can.

You seem to believe that I have a high opinion of people and human nature. You think shortsightedness is rare?

Does it bother you that I have better understanding of how students learn? Sure, your shiny toys are cool, but they get in the way.
It's interesting that last week I was speaking with 54 standout teachers from all around the world, each with far more experience than you will ever have, who couldn't stop gushing about how the software has revolutionzed their classroom? One teacher, who only teaches special needs students, said it's the only true way she can get through to her severely autistic students.

There's ****loads of studies that many governments have done on its effectiveness (and it's so effective many governments like the UK have actually LEGISLATED its use), in addition to anecdotal use. Our biggest challenge are the idiot teachers (like yourself) who do not understand the power of the software and treat it like ****ing powerpoint. But that's to be expected -- too many teachers are like you.

I have a degree in government yes, as well as a J.D. and a stolen parking boot, I am not sure why you think that's not challenging achievements, THE 90% OF PEOPLE WHO COULD NOT GET INTO MY DEGREE FACTORY OF A LAW SCHOOL WOULD BEG TO DIFFER http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/mad.gif http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/mad.gif http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/angry.gif PISSEDOFF:
