I'm surprised mine didn't make the list. I guess no one has been murdered.
We've only had 1 murder in the past 3 years which is low. It's the extremely high robberies and burglaries that put TU at #2.

I can't believe UPenn had 4 murders, though! It's Ivy League!

duawLauff 05-16-2012 09:48 PM

I didn't see a place that stated how the ranking were determined.
Was a burglary ranked the same as a murder or was there some type of weighting involved?

The only weighting used were to help sink the bodies.

As far as Harvard, why the surprise? With their sense of self entitlement, it should be expected.

Why would a collage be dangerous? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../dizzyanim.gif

I think a lot of college "rape" plays out like this:

1. Woman goes to party, maybe or maybe not wearing revealing clothing
2. Woman gets very drunk
3. Men hit on woman relentlessly
4. Woman goes home with one of the men and has sex with him
5. Woman wakes up in the morning and says to herself "my my what have I done"
6. Woman informs police that she was forcibly raped by man she consensually had drunk sex with.
Arsehole.

Getting a woman so drunk that the consensual aspect is debatable is an issue for me. It's been a college sport for a long time.
I wouldn't necessarily say it's rape, but it's definitely not a good thing.
I will support this post.

What if both parties are so drunk as to be unable to give consent, and both regret the act in the morning?
Normally I wouldn't call that rape but stupidity. Unfortunately in many instances the female gets slightly looped and the male takes advantage by buying her enough additional drinks to seal the deal.
Yes, I know it sometimes works the other way, but in general the man is using the booze to gain advantage in the situation.

Person B voluntarily and with no coercion gets so drunk that they lose the ability to give consent, That's always the sticking point. I offer you free drinks, and you take them. Is that intentionally getting a person drunk? Coercion can be quite difficult to ascertain. If you drug their drink then it's crystal clear. But just offering another free drink is quite a gray area.
