If there's a better spice than cumin I'd like to know about it!
 

One of my favorite Chinese dishes is cumin lamb. I usually order it with spicy carp, fried rice, and egg drop soup. Throw in a few soup dumplings and you have yourself a pretty good meal for two.

Cinnamon. It's value in savory dishes is hugely underrated.

It's unbelievable how, when you give up salt your salt sense improves to before unheard of levels. Since I threw the devil by the wayside I've developed an almost extrasensory sense of salt recognition. And it ain't pretty, I tell ya!

I have too much respect for cumin to do that.
