I don't like almost all of Bens' opinions. I think he lies, twists and outright ignores the truth but I would not to ban him because I have come to understand that a lot of people operate in the same manner as Ben. Observing his behavior gives me an opportunity to understand and overcome the people around that are similar to Ben. Thanks Ben.

You have got to see Ben in the NFL threads... especially the fantasy football draft. He made a huge stink with Jrabbit about only Ben knows what. He does it every single year. It's like he's unable to interact with humans without starting a big argument.

Maybe we can all agree to add him to our ignore lists and never engage with him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Not being smart or snide or anything but, honestly, Ben, if this is the real you, you have a psychological disorder. The way you interpret statements presented to you, the way you connect A to Z, what you think is an appropriate response, refutation, or conclusion, is all wrong. A normal person can mis-interpret something, a normal person can make a faulty assumption, a normal person can respond to something and not realize he's making an irrelevant response, etc. But what you do and how consistently you do it (literally every time you type) is worrisome. Something is wrong with the way your brain thinks.

Also, you are instantly argumentative and you rarely concede. I can understand that but sometimes it's completely unnecessary and it seems like you're just trying to cause trouble (like in the fantasy draft thread with the insinuations that Jrabbit was taking advantage of his position as commissioner).

No banning. That would be plain wrong. Ben went overboard in that thread. But he is a good man, and the way he is treated here it's a miracle he manages to remain so calm and not respond with the same shitt back at you. I know I would have gone crazy had you all behaved as childish as you lot often do towards him. That being said, in that thread he should apologize. Be the better man, Ben.

Nikolai, I refuse to believe that you actually read Ben's posts and say that stuff. Maybe Asher acts 'childish' to him but the arguments Ben makes are so off the wall insane and hypocritical that it drives you crazy. Ben doesn't think like the rest of us. Again, I don't mean that in a belief system way; I mean that his ability to understand things and make connections is completely broken.

Not only that but he is incessantly argumentative. Maybe your view is colored by consideration of political and religious opinions which you feel anything is fair game. But Ben is completely insane and destructively argumentative when discussing American football. I don't think I can overstate how inexcusable his actions were in the Fantasy Football draft and yet he has done that sort of activity attempting to undermine the entire draft (which we do for freaking fun) for 3 straight years! 3 years. 3 fantasy drafts that he single-handedly tried to undermine. Maybe that's not his intention but any objective observer would be certain that he's a destructive force.

I know he is not easy to argue with, but I know him from outside poly too and he is a good guy and not close to as bad and stupid as people here claim. He loves to discuss here despite how people treat him though. I don't get that. He is far from faultless, but so are the rest here too. In fact I find him one of the better posters in this (now) poor excuse for a civ site. I don't give him a free pass for being of same faith as me, but I understand some of his views as a result of it ofc. I generally tend to disagree with his debating techniques, but far from always with his views. IN general I find the treatment of him here disgraceful and narrow-minded. Some here disagree with whatever he posts on principle.

Asher does this to Ben at least once a year. It's a s'poly tradition.

It's not just matters of religion or politics. That's what I'm trying to say. His literally crazy way of thinking enters into the domains of sports discussion and fantasy football. It's not us. It's none of us. It's Ben. He has a disorder.

I'm not being smart. I'm being serious. I know I don't have a background in psychology but I am certain there is something wrong with his head.

Or he's just completely trolling us.

And Nikolai, I know you as a Norwegian probably know nothing about American football but ask anyone who does... the two statements in my signature from Ben are both completely insane and indefensible...

I'm actually curious now how Ben acts in hockey discussions and fantasy hockey. Is he the same way? Does he laud how some career backup from the Canucks was better than Wayne Gretzky?

Yes, he certainly does. He picks mediocre Canucks players and compares them to people far better and concludes the Canuck player is the best.

He described Doug Flutie as Peyton Manning with Randall Cunningham speed. My brain shut down when I read that.

Is he the one who's always hording QBs in the fantasy football league? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/neeschud.gif
