I'm glad it was finally discovered what would keep Prince out of the studio.

I just went to youtube and I guess Prince and his lawyer have surrendered because I was able to find lots of videos of him, unlike 2 years ago.

A B side

I only RIAA could stop doing business until internet piracy is resolved...

I've never heard any of his music... or maybe I have, but then I didn't know that he was the one making them... and no matter how great his songs are, I'm not interested in starting to listen to them based on all the stuff I have heard about him
If piracy means no more prince, then thumbs up for piracy

Prince's guitar solo on While My Guitar Gently Weeps at George Harrison's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was epic.
thanks for posting - this was great to see and listen to

I bet he checks out books at the library for free instead of going to the bookstore

Libraries are tax-funded, so each taxpayer is paying their fair share for the intellectual property. Most people never visit their local public libraries, so they are paying for content that they never use. Others reap the benefit.

The fact that some of the library's content is much more popular than other bits is irrelevant.

Over course, having a communal library is creeping socialism at its most insidious...

Y'all do realize that the above concert was broadcast on VH-1, and repeated over and over and over, right?

So it's ok to pirate from rich people but not from up and coming struggling artists.

I don't feel sorry for Prince either. But should I feel sorry for Guy's wife when her work is pirated to the point that she can't make a living doing it so must stop, depriving everyone of her creativity?

I've never liked the "they wouldn't support her anyway is a valid argument".

But after all I've said, if I'm looking to buy something that isn't available anymore anywhere, I look for a free source.

Musicians can always play live, that is what they have always done through history to make a living. Writers are more screwed by piracy than musicians imo

Prince could make millions every year just touring

Odd sentiment, considering how many were built by captains of industry.
Um, socialism line = joke.

well not good to hear, but I am sure they are in "transition" or at least they are meant to be.

I am not well acquainted with "print media" digital distribution systems, as I still buy in paper what I want to read - book wise ... but there must be a way either on kindle/some other content distribution system on which to make money for the writers, in this new age as well.
