I'm still laughing my head off at the colossal chokejob of the Vancouver Canucks.

For those who aren't aware: Ben's chosen team, the Vancouver Canucks, has some of the worst, most arrogant fans in the sporting world. This team has never won a Stanley Cup in its forty year history.

This year, their team was the best in the league in the regular season (by a good margin). Their goalie is Luongo, the highest paid in the league ($10M per season for something like 12 years). They were the "odds-on" favourite to win the cup this year.

They drew the Chicago Blackhawks to play in the first round. Chicago lost their last game of the season, and only got into the playoffs because Dallas lost also. So they backed in... But: Chicago has spanked Vancouver in 08-09, 09-10, eliminating them from the playoffs.

Vancouver won the first 3 games pretty decisively, and needed to win just 1 more to eliminate the Blackhawks and move on to the finals.

As his history fortells, Luongo shits the bed in a clinching game. He loses Game 4 7-2, then they lose Game 5 5-0, and tonight they lost Game 6 4-3. They're 1 game removed from the biggest playoff choke job in NHL history, and one of the biggest in all of the sporting world.

It is an epic, epic thing. I am still laughing.

The icing on the cake is the Canucks have Captain Choke under contract until 2022.

With a no-trade clause.

Earning $10M/yr.
