Default Open Source Cart Software?
I have just created a website for someone using XHTML strict and CSS. Nice basic clean layout, i also have also integrated gallery into the web page so it matches the layout and looks the same as the website.

I now wish to get some simple cart software up and running which will then forward the user on to paypal once the products have been added to a basket.

The software needs to be the following:

1) Open source (free)
2) Easy to change options and add products from the admin panel
3) Allow easy customisation so i can hack the css / html to integrate with the website layout.

I have tried the following:

1) Zen Cart, this seems decent enough but seems far too powerful for what i am after. Too many different options and more importantly it doesn't look "easy to use" once i have left it with the end user.

2) Open Cart. Looking at this as we speak but looks promising.

Simply put does anyone have any suggestions of what should be looking at, experiences with specific software or advice regarding what i am doing?

Any help is appreciated!

The only open source suggestions I have are Magento or various extensions to the TYPO3/Drupal/Joomla CMS frameworks.

Have you looked at shopify? That might suit you well.

I've only had experience with X-Cart which isn't free but it is pretty easy to implement and use and their support is super helpful.

In the end Open Cart was perfect, easy to modify. Clean layout based on modules and the code is well commented and understandable.

Cheers for the suggestions anyway guys!
