the color changes in the terrain where they pieced photos together is a bit unusual and the "tracks" or whatever they are ends at the border of such a change, that aint right. I suppose its another optical illusion like the "face".

Without scale it is hard to identify exactly what they is but they appear to be exposed bedding layers dipping at a high angle to the left side of the screen. Oh, and erosion happens on Mars so there wouldn't be much ancient anything there.
