![]() ![]() ![]() By Sky News SkyNews - 1 hour 51 minutes ago Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder has admitted not knowing people speak English in London. he NFL player might want to check a map before he gets on board a plane for Sunday's prestige game against the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium. Crowder, who comes from Atlanta in Georgia, may be praised on the field, but confessed geography was not his strong point. He admitted he did not know until now where London was - or that Londoners spoke English. "I couldn't find London on a map if they didn't have the names of the countries," he said. "I swear to God. I don't know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that." Crowder added: "I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. "That's the closest thing I know to London. He's black, so I'm sure he's not from London. I'm sure that's a coincidental name." The Miami Dolphins are play the New York Giants at Wembley this Sunday in the first NFL regular-season game to be played outside the United States. |

I would have liked to go to watch this match, but as i finish my nights on Sunday i doubt i'll be in any fit state. I have to admit that i don't know anything about American football, so it would be a bit of a novelty to watch the game.
Maybe i'll think what the hell, and just go along anyway. I was reading this evening that one of his team mates was from London - maybe i'm wrong. Quite a funny story though. |

The coverage of the game on Fox 5 is about to start so I've tuned in for a few minutes to see the expressions on the faces of the Brits ...
The crowd just razzed the singer of "God Save the Queen", a guy named Paul Potts who won some TV singing contest ![]() The Fox announcers are trying to pump it up and claim that the atmosphere inside Wembley is electric ![]() Kick off ... play stops at the 25 yard line -- and already the crowd is bored to death ![]() me switches the channel ... |

heh heh Honestly, who the hell cares. If you live in Florida, you dont even need to go to New York City let alone smelly England. They have everything there. So Im not surprised he doesnt know. I would also not be surprised if he knew nothing about Norway (a much richer and some would say more important country than England), Denmark, Svalbard, Greenland or other northern, cold places. |
