I run a corporate mail server with advanced spam detection, and I see those caught in the filter all the time.

There's ebay ones as well where they thank you for your confirmed recent purchase of some expensive ridiculous item you would never buy, then ask you to login and provide your personal info to see the transaction details, leave thanks, file disputes etc...

I just post this crap to humor myself, stressed to the max. To me it's so stupid but then again to any associates I have this could be very real... I guess if your still in kindergarten with an instructor that tells you to pay it.

What you can do with those links is right click them, and select copy link, or copy url location (varies browser to browser)

Then paste them into a proxy like www.hidemyass.com or a text file

This is the link:

hxxp://www.mcfile.scd.cl/5DbEHpN4/index.html (I changed tt to xx to disable it)

The domain is scd.cl A website called mcfile running on the scd.cl domain clearly not paypal.com

That site has been taken down by the provider, which usually happens in a matter of hours to a few days.

Typical website redirect. Registered in Chile but redirects to a site hosted in the Netherlands.

Spammers and virus writers use cross country traffic redirects to dupe legal authorities across their entitled jurisdictions.

Miko Hypponen explains this tactic in depth during one of his TED conference talks.

Bunch of kids data mining, and writing viruses, running around driving $200 sports cars living the life.

It's very lucrative. Send out hundreds of millions of emails, if only 1% or less responds. Big money.

Hmm JoBoo until this moment I disregarded you as filler noise. I am glad that I got to see the whole picture (although 1 dimentional screen name) of what you are about.

You voted for Nixon didn't you? Right? Admit it now.

I'll always admire Nixon for all the hard work he did establishing the gold standard back in 71. Oh, wait a sec...

And I was taught that Jimmy Carter was bad for taking us out of oil during the energy crisis claiming peanut oil would cost 20¢ a gallon as gasoline. See I was so stupid.... shame on me.
