I clicked on it for the Motorcycles. I stayed for the Motorcycles AND the music. I have nearly all the W.T. albums. The Howling and Frozen are two of the songs that got me hooked on the group. "Faster" is from "The Unforgiving".

There is also something about seeing bikes/cars go bonkers fast on normal streets. Most of those roads probably have a 40-60mph speed limit and they are cooking 200+ in sections. Safety Equipment? WTF Is that?!?! SQUIRREL, SQUIRREL!!!

Now i'm off to find some Silver State Classic videos. I think a guy hit 250mph+ on the last Silver State. Have to check up and make sure of that.

Awesome footage... Anywhere to view the full race? I really need to get into watching motorcycle racing more. That video makes me want to get my bike (currently a 2002 Honda 919)into a track day at mid-ohio. Hell, eventually I may just want to get a separate bike for track days.

Those guys are crazy brave to run that speed on bumpy village roads. Margin for error is zero. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/wacko1.gif
Yeah post some more links to watch those "land pilots"

EDIT
Raptor watch for cops, they will slap you with pleasure.

Post those if you find them!

I also like the few glimpses of the "Red Devil" that show up on youtubes sometimes. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/devil1.gif

You mean "Big Red" the Tube chassis "69 Camaro"?

There is also the Polly Motorsport TransAm. Which is as far as I know can spank a Veyron.

Sadly, the Silver State Classic is more open road, and definitely not as tight as Isle of Man. But I still love watching them. Less so the open straight aways and more the Narrows area of the course.

Yeah big red, dunno why I got it's name wrong, that car is pure awesome.

OH, I remember now, the RED Devil" was twin Charged first Gen Subaru Legacy Wagon, it's awesome too, for other reasons.

Yeah, as if going 170-200mph on a track course didn't require enough concentration, public roads with the bumps, hills and turns is crazy.

Lol I know. On public roads, I'm quite a "tame" rider. I like taking turns aggressively and and accelerating quick when I can, but rarely go any more than 10mph of speed limits, there's just too much to factor in on public roads. Plus with my job, I really can't afford any major traffic/speeding/evading cop violations on my bike, lol. That's why track days would be a good outlet, can get it out of my system. I have a friend that does auto-cross with his car, but he never does anything stupid on the street, so similar ideology.

I've only been pulled over on a bike once. It was on Memorial day while I was out for a ride. My speedometer I know for a fact was never more than 5mph over the limit and I know my speedometer's optimistic, so it was probably more like 2-3mph if at all (in a 45 zone).

The cop got behind me after I turned onto another road and put high lights on, I pulled into a store parking lot (because that road's too dangerous to pull over on, no emergency lane). The cop asked me if I knew why he pulled me over and I said no. He said speeding. I asked "What did you clock me at." He said "I didn't clock you, it was just visual." I replied, "I really don't think I was speeding, I was behind other traffic on that road the whole time." He said, "You were definitely movin'." Then he let me go with a warning... I'm guessing him and his partner were bored, it was Memorial day and they saw a motorcycle, so decided to pull it over with a BS excuse...

Here's some on-board with the fastest man. Crazy vid

The Isle of Man TT is a great show. If you want a proper look into the sport, some spectacular footage of the races, and a peek in the life of the paddock, I highly recommend watching TT3D: Closer to the Edge. A highly enjoyable documentary film on the TT of 2010. (Ridiculously priced on Amazon, easily found in the open seas, obviously...)

And just to hit home the risks of motorcycle racing, here's a video I occasionally remind myself of. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif
