This thing just rolled around the town... I have to say that whoever designed this thing should be given a olympic medal.

isn't that the new Kia? I heard/seen about it on Top Gear in the last season. Looks nice. Wonder how it drives though.

Yep, Kia Optima.

Yep, Kia Optima.
Has a Civic feel to the look TBH. The rims are funky though. I just wonder if they are actually alloys or just some of those plastic clipon ones you get on all of GM's cars

Korean cars aren't bad at all now from what I've seen. Prices are going up as a result though. Still, this one is nice. One or two design cues from European and Jap cars. I think designed by a German guy who mostly designed the Audi TT. M3 side grilles are nice!

I think they are alloys. There is an option for chrome too, which looks much better, and the cool looking audi-type running leds by the fog lights are a nice touch.

Edit:
It comes with either a 200hp I4 or 274hp turbo (i4)
A Kia that looks good, and performs? Noooo way.

We have a couple of Hyundai i30's as pool cars. I'd be quite happy with one permanently if it was forced on me.

I liked the Kia Forte but just decided I didn't want to spend that much and that the car was to small. I'm glad I went with a mid-sized car, even if its a coupe.

Kia has made considerable strides with their stuff. My Old Kia Sephia was a great car. Never had a major break down. However, parts were a PAIN to get. Talking about having to wait 1-2 weeks to get parts in at times. Parts that I could have gotten same day over the shelf for a Ford, GM, Honda, etc... Because of that, never seriously considered a Kia again. I do all of my own car work and honestly if something breaks down like an Alternator. I don't want to hear that its going to take 3 or 4 days to get an alternator in stock. Thats 3 or 4 days without a car. So until Kia can sort out its parts stock here in the US I won't buy one.

Looks nice, especially for Kia, similar to the 2012 Civic, as already said:

I test drove a Kia Optima a few years ago before I bought my Sentra and I was rather impressed. Overall, I'm happy that I went with the Nissan, but a part of me wonders how the Optima would have held up. It was certainly a little more fun to drive.

That looks pretty slick. If I was in the market for a new car I'd be checking them out.

Chrome wheels are for rap videos and drug dealers. Which might be the same thing anyway.

No. Rims over 20 inches are, chrome or not.

I saw someone driving down the road yesterday with what looked like 24" rims on a Honda Accord. Dumbest looking ride I've seen this year.

On topic. That Kia looks pretty nice looking sedan. Not too flashy.

It kinda reminds me of the new Dodge Dart coming out. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ed_first_test/

Looks like it has a multifunction guage panel via LCD.

Wouldn't be the first time an American car company started putting out rebadged Pacific rimmers and claiming them as domestic.

Nope, no other car makers in the world have taken design ideas from other makers. Except for us Americans of course. Thank you for pointing this out.

Us Brits have had a few shaky relationships with re-badging as well.

EDIT: I know you're Canadian, I was just making conversation.
