I never wanted to post a thread like this, but I have to ask... are these boards dying? It feels like Groundhog Day every time I logon because it's the same topics that haven't budged an inch. I'm talking about the tech boards, even.

I'm spending more and more time on another forum these days. Presently, that forum has 515 members online, and it doesn't feel one quarter as busy as FM used to be.

Indeed my friend. It's more akin to a local dive bar where the townsfolk know everyone and bicker about the local gossip. Come to think of it, I kinda like it this way.

I have a business that I am currently working on that may or may not bring a lot of traffic to this place. For the time being it will be US only, but stay tuned to a kickstarter that might just take off. If not, oh well, just another failed business I've dumped money into.

I know they want a "family" forum, but this is the internet. People insult each other, they are rude, and they just don't give a ****. They need to step back, and allow more, and more people to say things here. It's the only way. This is the MOST restricted forum I know, even anandtech allows more.

Been dieing for years. Removing religion and politics board was the last straw for many.
