Well any guy holding an F1 Super License is already pretty ****ing skilled.

Actually racing in F1 then separates the really good drivers from the really, really good ones.

His situational awareness would be likely to cause accidents on a motorway. And there is a major flaw in getting a drive in F1: money. Karthikayan? He's worse than most reserve drivers. There are a few others with questionable qualifications, too.

He managed to hold his "brief skills" together long enough to win a GP2 championship

I was talking about Formula one. His skills in GP2 clearly haven't come across into F1.

What are F1 and GP2 entirely different skill sets or something? He has won a race in F1, which is more than most F1 drivers ever do. As I said I don't like him, he's a dirty driver, but he's still a skilled driver.

I think that win was a fluke. If you take away the 25 points for that he's hardly scored any points at all, and none since that race. Where as Senna has been consistently scoring points at every race. I wouldn't be surprised to see Senna end up with more points than Maldonado at the end of the season.

I could drive better than Karthikayan

(If they could fit me in the seat... +94kg)

But seriously, when he's getting his ass whooped every session by a 40+ year old ex test driver, maybe it's time to take a bow.
