Could that little pump do 900 odd gallons of water with the head height of the hose to the top of the tank in the time it took them to drain 1000 gallons of methylene?

After being so accurate with the calculation of water needed for the weight of methylene, they didn't say anything about the flow rate at a given head height of the pump.
The pump was quite big, smaller ones are usually 70-100 Gallons per minute.

It would take less than 10 minutes to pump the amount of liquid they needed.

Anyway, that is not even important to anything, it's not like it was hugely unrealistically small pump that could in no way make sense.

Also, if you nitpick into a show like this you end up losing the whole point.

Just checked even further, a pump of that size is easily in the range of 8000-10000 gallons per hour. It would have taken them all of 5 minutes to fill the tank.

Are you sure about that?

266 Gallons per min. It can be done.

but given that they had enough time for the engineers to look at the engine, attempt to start it, try to move it, and then have a random person help move it.. It was probably 10min or so.

Something this size would make sense

110 Gallons per min

Sorry, the last one was per hour. My mistake.
