Idaho Plane Crash captured on film by passenger

Difficult to make anything of it, but seeing the plane at the end of this clip, looks like they had a miracle escape.

There is just something innate that says "don't land in a forest."

They were very lucky.

I have never flown on a plane, and have no desire to, safety arguments aside.

I'm not very good at flying under my own power and I have to say I think plane crash would probably be one of the most horrifying "normal-ish" deaths I could imagine.

Weirdly enough, I would allow myself to be shot into space if that ever becomes economically viable, at least it would be exciting too.

Anyway, this reminds me of the glider crash landing fom a few months back, and they're all very lucky.

Car accidents are more likely than a plane crash. Unless you get air sickness there really isn't any reason to avoid flying other than economic reasons, aka cheaper to drive for some reason.

I already said "safety arguments aside".

I greatly dislike heights, this is a good enough reason for me.

I'll drive or take a ship.

Amazing. Those guys were extremely lucky.

I am not a huge fan of flying myself, but it's obviously necessary if you decide to leave the country (unless you want to take a cruise ship, which are horrible). Bring some good movies to watch, and 4 or 5 beers later you will forget you ever left the ground. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/biggrin1.gif

I don't like heights either, but I'm fine in a plane.

And then have an embolism shortly after leaving the plane.

An embolism after 4 beers? What kind of alcoholic are you?

No, an embolism because of sitting for such a long period of time.

And I'm a german/irsih mix, lol I could be a crazy alcoholic if I liked being drunk more and all the time. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif

It depends on the flight, but anything over 5 hours you do need to get up and walk around. My flight to Sydney, Australia was over 18 hours. I smelled like a homeless person after it was over.

I have no problem being a passenger in a plane, and have my pilot's license for both planes and helicopters.
People laugh when I tell them I'm scared of heights, my legs go trembly just climbing on a to the roof with a ladder http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif

Also contrary to popular opinion of plane crashes, the old assume the brace position "put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye", most crashes involve the same forces as a car crash on the highway.

I'm beginning to think the whole thing is an act. No human being could survive that long being the way he is.

And once again a thread descends into personal attacks against me for no apparent reason. Congratulations, you just proved what a bunch of ***** you really are.
