Prices and BIK are actually very comparable for diesel and non-diesel SLKs from what I can see...
BTW - is yours a salary sacrifice scheme or a company car scheme? The prices look look a bit higher than I'd expect for a company car.

Well yeah, the trick is to obviously not hit them. I suppose my view is biased because I don't face the hazards you obviously do around a city. Fair enough.
To be honest I'd rather have them anywhere. Most bumps we get on company cars are people going to meetings and hitting a stupid piece of concrete that is holding a sign or something near the kerb in a parking spot that you don't expect to be there. Basically, I'd rather eliminate the risk of having to buy a new bumper. When you return a leased car any (and I do mean any) defect is marked down and charged for.

I believe salary sacrifice would define that best, considering it's taken before tax. But as said, these prices include pretty much everything apart from petrol...

Jag XF? Or is that too big/expensive?

I think the Peugeot 508 is a good looking car and probably quite clean and frugal.

I could get a Jag XF but it would be the standard model with no toys and it's a bit big. I've reversed a colleagues out of the car park before now and it wasn't much fun.

Plus - and this is ridiculous: The odometer (or some dial) went on his and they had to replace the entire instrument binnacle for about 4 grand! The company footed the bill as it wasn't covered by warranty for some reason.

Just checked our site and the only XF I can afford is: Jaguar XF Saloon 2.2d 163 DPF SS EU5 SE Auto8
Jesus! The Jag is 135 co2! *faints*

This one is looking the best deal, but I do fancy a change...

I think I'd rather have a BMW than the A4. An A5 is available. I was going to post a list of cars our system suggested to me but then I remembered that the leasing company had me sign an NDA before granting access! Seemed a bit strong, but I suppose they are in a competitive market.

My suggestion would be an EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) Opel Ampera (in US sold as Chevy Volt).

70-80km on electricity, then on a gasoline engine. Driving on electricity costs 1 EUR/100km, 0-100 = 9+ seconds.

I bought one 2 weeks ago, done 800+km, spent 2 litres of gasoline.

This is one of my videos I've made:

Check other videos I've made with the Ampera.
You haven't commented my suggestion.

I don't even think our leasing company does them mate.

Just to confirm, you've already dismissed the local Ford and GM products?

Go for an A5 then? If you fancy a change there isnt really anything else out there that will be better... not in my opinion anyway.

Tell me about it. Fuel is the bigget PITA for me...

We pay a load of fuel duty, and then they add 20% Value Added Tax on top of that figure!

Sorry, I keep forgetting you have different versions of each car over there. Here the S5 Coupe comes in premium and prestige, either available in man or auto gears. There are tons of options too, like driver assist package and sports differential. Audi and their options... BWM is just as bad. One of the reasons I like VW...

What is the SE missing?
