Default Can anybody help with identification please
A friend on another forum is trying to identify this, it belonged to her grandmother; about 8cm long and 4cm high, porcelain/ceramic? with black metal trim.

We suspect possibly a trinket box as part of a set for a lady's dressing table, Victorian/Edwardian?

The friend is in Staffordshire so it may be from one of the local potteries, the decoration looks vaguely familiar to me but with my memory that's probably as far as I'll get!
