In Zed's defense his body type and genetics probably lead him towards a slender body type. My friend is 38, about 5'6" and weighs about 110lbs. I have never seen a grown man throw back Big Macs faster in my entire life.

My mom is nearly 6 feet tall and her dad was 6'7". My dad's family was fairly similar in size ( on his father's side at least). There was zero chance of anyone of my parent's four Kids being small. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif
I want to see a picture of this friend. There is no way he can be that light.

I am 5'6", weigh 173 and am at 14% fat. If I were to subtract that out and be at 0% fat I would be 150 lbs!

Zed is 6' 150lbs. Its not too far of a stretch. And my friend is probably closer to 5'4". Men tend to lie about their height.

Ha!

I am just a tad over 6 feet. However, the 5'10"/5'11" folk insist that I am 6'2".

depends on when you see them. I am close to 6'1 in the morning and 6'0 in the evening. So I say 6ft... where as they are probably 5'11 in am in 5'10 in evening and go with the bigger number.

A case where shorter people feel they need to get that extra inch (them) or those not worried about it (us). My guess anyways. Add shoes to the mix and it is a wonder any of us are mostly guessing. It reminds me a lot of basketball rosters. JJ Barea 6ft? My ass.

It's amazing how much shoes can add to the mix (reminds of George Costanzas Timberland shoes). I usually always wear flip flops when I go out to casual places, and when I wear shoes I'm actually closer to 6'6". I actually feel bad for people who are that tall naturally, as there are times I am hitting my head on so many random low hanging objects. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif

25 on the way down to 24 (2-3 weeks). At 24: "You have a lower BMI than 64% of males aged 30-44 in your country and a higher BMI than 51% of males aged 30-44 in the world". Technically on the edge of overweight, but what I consider my ideal weight.

My waist-to-height ratio in contrast is right in the middle of the ideal range at 0.45, at 183cm tall with an 83cm waist.

Body frame size measurement puts me on the upper side of medium with an 18.5cm(7.3") wrist circumference at 183cm(6') tall.

Tinomen is right, muscle tone has SFA to do with body fat, period!
I consider it, rightly or wrongly, as the ability to do sustained work or endurance - the difference between being able to haul one 50kg bag of cement and 50 bagshttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif

As I said earlier, with a MBI of 28ish, I had a lot less body fat (and better muscle tone and strength) than I do now at 24ish, as I'm not doing the same sort of physical work.

I never could run worth a damn, although at one time I was a rather fit cyclist, but I could outwork almost anyone at the time.

That would be "wrongly" then. What you are referring to requires stamina, not well toned muscles. In the case of stamina, some people can be fat, but still have a lot of it, many do because they have to carry around all that extra weight, however, ultimately it puts too much prolonged strain on the heart, basically wearing it out before it's time.

None of this changes the fact that you are wrong about what muscle tone is.

So, why don't you give us your interpretation of 'toned'?

That's not a fact. It's an incorrect assumption.

Muscle tone is gauged by how taught or tight your muscles are, the more toned you are, the stiffer your muscles become in their relaxed state. That's what makes you look ripped and not flabby.

I'm a proper fat shite at the minute, but on the way down, currnelty 5' 11'' and 265lb, so about 37 on the BMI scale.

I am an ex-pro athlete so would never use it as a measure at my fighting weight, which would have given me a BMI of 30-31 with single digit body fat %, but in relative terms it gives me a pointer. Waist size is also a good indicator (relative to hips), so long as you're not lifting the belly up to measure underneath. My belly is about 44'' round, which is 10'' more than it was maybe 5 years ago. I let myself go badly.

As an aside, where has the comical 250lb over the head post gone? SERIOUSLY? I'm considered freakishly strong by my mates who still play rugby (and by my hod carrying family members) and I probably wouldn't even consider lifting 110kg above my head. I think I either need to find me a pair of LOLLERSKATES or get down to the gym to do some military press as it's obviously easier than it looks.

I thought you said you were 6' 4" recently. Is all that gut dragging you down??

No, it's just that they're never as tall on the date as what they say on their match.com profile.

Live in a world where nothing is challenging and you are the smartest guy in the room, 1 million billion pounds would be easy too. Just make sure that you take your pills everyday.

Not me guv'nor, unless it was in a satirical manner but I don't recall writing it.

I'm a slightly less fat, shorter version of Roy Nelson (I do have a ginger mullet though).

I did just go and lift a Range Rover over my head as well, just to see. It was so easy, I did 10 squats. True story.

Men tend to lie about their height and income, women tend to lie about their weight and age, and Europeans tend to lie about how often they bathe and brush their teeth. This is fairly common knowledge.

Kind of a brave card for you, don't you think?
