Kimi is driving like a madman, he could be now jump 2nd, and soon 1st on pitting

--- Post Update ---

Kimi 2nd!

Now, hopefully Hamiltons tires will melt by the end and Lotus will finally get a win, or even better, win & 2nd!

Lovely controlled drive from Lewis, good job my man.

I'd say I'm surprised, but the guy is a menace.

Oh well, 2nd for Kimi, Grosjean 3rd, good race for Lotus, but the track just sucks for overtaking, Kimi was a lot faster than Hamilton but simply couldn't get past him, probably least overtakes overall in the race this season

edit:

Lovely controlled drive from Lewis, good job my man.
Had it been a track where overtaking is actually possible outside pits, he wouldn't have won

Yes, I'm a troll because I don't agree with britts

Kimi was over half a second faster 'till he got behind him, on other tracks drivers can do passes with a LOT smaller speed advantage.

Hopefully the statistics on passes come out soon for this race, just to prove my point

He was faster in clear air before he changed his tyres. If Kimi was faster he would have qualified first. Hamilton controlled the race, did what he needed to do. Also he was in fuel-save mode. Lotus car is good though.

Brits, one t dude.

And we know the circuit is hard to overtake, we don't need you to tell us. Kimi did all his overtaking in the pits too you know?

Shame he wasn't faster, but you'll just have to nurse that semi, sorry.

Faster in race has nothing to do with qualifying. They both had clear air, and Kimi was lapping 0,5 sec faster 'till he catched Hamilton.
Hamilton wasn't on fuelsaving mode really, he just wasn't taking max out of the engine nor using the richest mix, he was on the middle mix, which everyone does most of the time, and richest mix & max revs are only used if necessary which Hamilton had to do in in the last few laps, but still every time Kimi dropped a bit back for clearer air, he had no issues getting the time back in one lap.

drinksalot, I'm fully aware Kimi did his overtakes with pitstops, just like almost all the other overtakes were done - the track just doesn't allow overtaking unless the other makes mistake or has really dead tires

edit:
heck, even McLaren pitcrew told Hamilton Kimi is a lot faster

And as such everyone would have had a different race, so your argument is pretty weak.

Raik fastest lap: 1:25.728
Ham fastest lap: 1:25.677

Just to rub it in a bit more. Raik dropped to 5th in the championship. Ham up to 4th.

Hamilton did everything he needed to do to win the race, the key element of that was putting the car on to pole at a track famous for being hard to overtake.

I'm not sure why you feel the need to go off into some parallel dimension insisting Kimi would have won if it was a different track. Those if and buts won't change the result.

Kimi was faster in the faster car? Well that's great, and he finished second.... that's how the cookie crumbled.

Ah got ya, it all boils down to your dislike of Lewis and in turn you inability to give him any credit whatsoever.

Nope, I give him credit where it's due, like being fastest in qualifying etc. What I dislike is the god-status some people seem to put Lewis into.
