Default Take that Britain!
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...y-7973022.html

Argentina has decided not to send its president to attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in a diplomatic snub to Britain at a time of growing tensions over the Falkland Islands.

The Foreign Office has boasted that London 2012 will attract more heads of state and foreign dignitaries than any other previous Olympic tournament. But Argentine president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will be conspicuous only by her absence. It is like finding out your mother in law is punishing you by not visiting during Christmas.

Couldn't put it better myself
However, I would hope their athletes are still able to compete, as their consciences let them!

Of course they are, they wouldn't let all that training running up and down Falkland's memorials go to waste now would they?

the sun set years ago mate.

and I wouldn't be surprised that whilst all of our troops are distracted with this shambles of the olympics they'd use the opportunity to invade

I'm still waiting for Battlefield 3: Falkland Islands expansion pack to come out. I want to shoot at herds of sheep with the SAW from the back of the jeep...

I'm gonna give her a call and see if I can change her mind, she can stay at mine on my sofa bed. I'm a good 2-2.5 hour drive from London but it's the best she can get now.

Can't say I blame her. Britain is a dump compared to Argentina. I certainly wouldn't want to go to the Olympics either.

HAHHAHAHAH, this guy cracks me up. An American saying that the UK is a dump? Next you'll be saying American food is better. Man, you really should have continued to pretend you lived in France. Your subjective hatred against the UK is hilarious, please keep it up

Anyway, here's a shot I took yesterday of where I live in England, I'm sure you could call this a dump too?

Maybe we should give the Falklands... ahem Las Malvinas back to Argentina, and while we're at it

- Give Alaska back to Russia
- 'Give' Taiwan back to China
- Give Bulgaria back to Turkey
- Give California back to Japan
- Give Hawaii back to the Hawaians
- Give Iran back to the Persians
- Give Galicia back to the Irish
- Give Northern France back to Denmark

... I could go on all day.

- Give Alaska back to Russia - No way US paid to Tzar Nikolai $2 million in gold
- 'Give' Taiwan back to China - Chinese live on Taiwan too
- Give Bulgaria back to Turkey - Bulgaria was never part of Turkey - temp occupying doesn't count
- Give California back to Japan - If you find tug boat enough big
- Give Hawaii back to the Hawaians - They don't want it back
- Give Iran back to the Persians - Iranians are Persians
... I could go on all day.
Not a great analogy.

There are rumors about underwater oil reserve close to Las Malvinas shore.

You should definitely give back New Mexico, Arizona, part of Texas and part of California back to the Mexicans.

It wasn't supposed to be an analogy, it was supposed to be a demonstration of absurdity.

The Islands have never belonged to 'Argentina', and if their claim is based on proximity, there are countless examples around the world.

Some of your answers in blue are equally absurd... so you're either playing along, or..?
