Another superb Alonso win!

He's got one hand on the Championship trophy already hasn't he?!
Not quite yet, it's still just a matter of 2 bad races for him to lose the lead, and we're only what, half way through season?

Anyway, hopefully Vettel gets penalized, would push Kimi up to 3rd

Yeah, leaving the track to gain an advantage - certainly wasn't forced that wide.
Another well earned win for Alonso and Ferrari, darn it!
i suspect the reason they brought Lewis in was he wasn't going to gain any points and, as he retired, they'll be able to change the engine and/or gearbox without penalty, if they wish.

Well he hasn't had a bad race yet anyway!, but yeah statistically of course he can be caught, but psychologically he's got the edge over everyone else this year surely, and after every performance like that he's just marking his territory.

He's just too bloody consistent with a competitive car.

Penalty for Vettel?
He overtook Button completely off the track, looks pretty clear cut to me.

In short, he'll get away with it.

Vettel seems to think lapped drivers should just should just stay where they are and basically forget about racing.....

The move drew an animated response from Vettel - with the World Champion to be seen waving his arm from the RB8 cockpit - and he continued his attack on his McLaren rival in the post-race press conference.
"That was not nice of him [Hamilton]. I don't see the point why he is trying to race us," Vettel complained.
"If he wants to go fast then he can drop back, find a gap and go fast there. http://www1.skysports.com/formula-1/...-slam-Hamilton

Boll*cks theres nothing in the rules that says you cant, plus when hamilton overtook him he left him for dead. Vettel wasnt that fast at all and Alonso had the pace over him all day.

Yeah Vettel was holding Hamilton up, not the other way round.

But this guy also thinks it's OK to overtake people off the track.

After the penalty, Kimi was promoted to 3rd, meaning he's only 12 points now from 3rd spot on the championship

Quite, slower, lapped cars are not to impede or otherwise make it difficult to pass them but nothing against a faster, lapped car overtaking another car, even if it's a lap ahead. If anything, Vettel should have made it easy for Lewis to get past as they weren't fighting for a place.

Lotus is now only one point behind McLaren in the Constructors Championship... not something one would have expected fefore the start of the season!

I think Lotus were ahead before today.

Was a decent race. Alonso is very good at the moment. Nice to see Mclaren do have some pace as well though.

Raikkonen is driving well and the Lotus is showing that while its not the outright fastest its a very well balanced car that performs well throughout a race.

Definately good to see them picking up the points and the driver getting the best out of the car. Kimi is definately up for a top three finish in the championship this season.

Kimi is driving well, he could be higher up but considering he has had time off and going to a new team, new car and new tyres. I think he is doing quite well but not up to his top form yet. His consistency is really shining through compared to his team mate. I'd love to see Lotus up the pointy end of the field come the end of the season I don't think they will be able to keep up with Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull in the development race though. Plus the added uncertainty of Grosjean performances puts a massive question mark on them.

Good signs by McLaren with their clear pace today.

Not a good performance by Webber, wasn't able to close on the lapped Senna in the final stages. Penalty didn't help but did manage to get a few points though.

Saubers had a great showing with both their drivers scoring a decent haul of points. 6th in the constructors, well ahead of Williams.

Wasn't a big fan of the DRS location, probably was needed somewhere else. Maybe the pit straight if at all.

Penalty for Vettel was quite clear. RBR should have told him to give the position back.

Penultimate lap wasn't it? But yes, they maybe should have been quicker thinking about it. That said, Vettel should know as well as it's quite a fundamental rule.

Vettels throwing his toys out the pram as its not going his way this season. Hopefully will just make him more exciting to watch as he tries harder and harder.

Decent race, good to see button getting some of his mojo back.

The exchange between Alonso, Button and Vettel as they climbed out of their cars immediately after the race was also illuminating.

After standing on his Ferrari's nose to milk the applause, Alonso turned to Button and said: "You couldn't beat me?" He then pointed to Vettel and said: "He couldn't either." http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/andrewben...ks_diffic.html

You mean about giving the penalty? It's quite clearly in the rules that drive through penalties won't be given during last 5 laps, instead 20 secs is added to your total time. (and same goes for 10-sec stop'n'go penalties, but they add 30 secs instead)
