It's all about ancestry. None of the Pilgrims were chefs. And leaving their cookware behind didn't help.

MasterChef USA is like Junior MasterChef UK, except the Juniors have more skill

If its on while you are there try and watch "Man vs Food", that show is brilliant if you want to see a fat guy trying to eat crazy portions of food around the USA! Makes you hungry and sick at the same time

The whole concept of Master Chef pisses me off.

I get American Idol/The Voice. Sure you win money, but it's about getting your name out and getting signed to a record label. Something that every man and his dog wants.

But Master Chef, apart from the prize money, is supposedly based around getting a job as an apprentice in a Kitchen FFS! None of the contestants truly want that, if they did they could have that job next week if they wanted without the help of TV.

Funny, I'm the opposite: every time I read "Master Chief", I see "Master Chef". The programmes been around a lot longer than the game.

The prize (besides the money) is your own cookbook deal. Hell's kitchen gives away a head chef job as their prize, but I believe most contestants just end up getting a year's "salary" instead.

EDIT: I'm not sure which version you're referring to so I could be wrong.

Perhaps you should try another season. I've only ever seen the show a few times, but I don't recall ever witnessing the things you're talking about.

America's a lovely place, just a shame about all the Americans that live there.

I'd threaten to knock your teeth out, but being as how you live in the UK that would be redundant.

lol

I would call this a joke if you didn't routinely harass me, and if you didn't seem so butthurt by my own joke.

Even DM took it gracefully without crying.

And he wins too as his joke was actually pretty decent.

It's difficult for me to say this, but you probably should have followed his example this time.
