Actually, £500 for a pair of shoes isn't too excessive compared to a 10k computer!

I wouldn't pay anymore than 70 quid (the most Ive ever paid) for a pair of shoes..

£500 quid for something that wont last more than year :/

anyway its a pricing error just like the apple product

I think the most expensive pair of shoes I ever had were a pair of Circa Skate shoes...they were I think around $150. They lasted me forever, were comfy as all get out and had a awesome hidden zipper pocket in the tongue.

I normally spend >$120 on shoes. However, mine generally last me 2-4 years and I only buy Air Max now after many different shoes hurt my back and feet too much at work.

Pop down to Savile Row or even Jermyn Street if you want to see some expensive mens shoes!

If I wore dress shoes more often I would be buying some expensive made to measure ones so my feet don't feel like they want to fall off after a day in city.

My dad once bought a pair of "hi tech" trainers for less than £20 and they lasted him for 11 years before they fell apart and he wore them for running, squash, basketball and a whole host of other activities.
When they were dirty he threw them in the washing machine and dried them out on the line outside.

I doubt anything I buy will last as long.

Reminds me of when my Dad bought some Reeboks that had "G-Unit" on the side, he had no idea what it was and we still take the piss out of him ~6 years on!

He does the washing machine thing with them also.

Surely that can't be the real price? It's just one of the silly prices for products you sometimes see on Amazon.

Pop down to Savile Row or even Jermyn Street if you want to see some expensive mens shoes!
But at least in that case you are actually getting something for your money.

I have spent much more than that on dress shoes (although they are like Trigger's broom in Only Fools and Horses - they have had several new heels and inners).

I wouldn't spend more than £50 on trainers (sneakers to the Americans) though. They only seem to last me about 6 months.
