Default Post the first CD you ever bought!
CDs are going out of fashion - quickly, and I just remembered which was the first CD (album) I ever bought. Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole. I'm quite proud of myself as I'm still a huge electronic fan though there were some dark years in which my hormones told me to listen to crap teen rock - ugh. Chemical Brothers haven't really made an album as good as Dig Your Own Hole but I'm glad I managed to see them live recently and they're much better live (as are most electronic artists).

So post the first CD (not tape or vinyl) ALBUM (not singles you cheapskate) you ever bought!

Mine was Master of Puppets by Metallica. Good Lord, that was a heavy CD when it came out. Now I hear those songs at sporting events lol.

This was in 1993. I was 4 or 5 years old at the time.

Speaking of Alice in Chains, I was just listening to Opeth's cover of "Would?"...

Yeah, Jar of Flies was my first CD as well. AiC was the first band I listened to as well.

RIP Layne.

I remember having to hide it from my parents when I bought it.

Who doesn't like Alice in Chains?

I actually can't remember my first CD. Probably one of the Metallica albums.

Yep same here. Tapes.

The first Metallica song I have ever heard was Jump in the Fire which isn't even a Metallica song. The first ever Metallica album I've listened to properly like I would listen to it twice a day or more was ...And Justice for All which by the way is still my favorite album to this day. I got my Master of Puppets tape from my cousin as a birthday present. I actually still have some of these tapes somewhere.
