Think about it. You're in an open field. Hear loud noises. Your instincts are that loud means predator. You run towards trees and cover. How do you even know that deer have perception of speed? They've generally been hunted by wolves etc, not by cars, which they have only recently been brought into existence.

You have to train children to look out for cars and cross the road safely; until you tell them things that are unsafe, they do not know/care/have the instinct. If mummy is across a busy road, a 2-year-old is not going to watch for cars, they're going to try and cross the road.

You're trying to apply logic to instinct. They're not the same.

Its not a wildlife park. Its called wildlife. it exists.

Road America (not the same track as in the video) is fenced in most places but there are still area's that need to be open to allow for vehicles and safety crews. They'll get in if they really want to. Several times when we have rented the track out there were reports of animals on the track. The video is hard to see, but at Road America if they know the approximate location of the animal they will put up the yellow flags and tell drivers to slow down to pace speeds.

Are both sides of your bed the wrong side? Or you are you just descended from a troll. The driver wasn't aiming for the deer, he had no time to react. Maybe you should just hope that since he did hit the deer, that it died quickly instead of lingering on in pain.
