My wife's take on technology...
 

We just received a delivery of a package of clothes from a webshop. On their enclosed invoice was a QR code. I used my iPad to read the code and see what it did (in this case just open a website). At which point my lovely wife came out with an absolute gem:

"I have no idea how those codes work, its a mystery to me - just like that thing with computers with all those 0's and 1's."

Hahah, tinak - do you know many women like you've described? I've sure never met a single woman like that.. and I've met very smart women as well. I've been trying to teach my mom how to use a computer for years! She still to this day doesn't know how to use it but if you asked her she would swear she'd mastered the art. You speak of a rare species. All you can really ask for in life is someone who makes you happy, and a happy healthy life. I'd settle on whoever made you smile the most.

Honestly, I know as many blokes with a poor understanding of technology as women these days. I try not to judge people for it because there will be subjects they have a better understanding of. Besides, mocking people for not understanding something is a really ugly personality flaw.

Agreed on this.

However I will judge when people use computers on a daily basis and rely on it for work, have done so for years, yet are seemingly clueless when operating it for simple/normal tasks.

There is a fine line between mocking someone, and a bit of banter. Brits have it nailed to a tee. Americans often struggle with it, especially if you mention anything to do with the USA.

Personally, I don't trust anyone that can't laugh at themselves.

Mocking people kicks ass and anyone that disagrees is an uphill gardener.
