CARTEL RAID UPDATE: The Bankster cartel has slammed precious metals once again, but guess what? NOTHING has changed. Andy Schectman says these slams are nothing more than a SUBSIDY and a gift. Physical silver IS money. Physical gold IS money. And if you don't hold it, you don't own i

I liked this interview ......especially when he was talking about the great silver lockout of 08.

It makes me covet what I have even more.
.
It reminds me that one day once again all the silver is going to magically dissapear under the table but this time it wont come back out for any price

I worry about bars being faked. Without the ability to assay the metal, you cannot be assured you have all silver.

I will take 1000 oz of silver eagles over a single 1000 oz bar any day. Either way, they are easy to lose but at least with the smaller coins, it takes me numerous boating trips to lose them all. Speaking of which, I am almost completely devoid of any decent metals and wish I could actually buy some more... but I think a good geiger counter should be next on my list.

Spec, 95% of the silver I've purchased is 10 oz bars. While the coins are cool I trust the 10 ouncers.

very good point. you need something more than an accurate scale to spot the fakes.

as far as boating accidents - the 1000 ouncers can go away towards being a good boat anchor - if you don't mind a few dings & scratches.
