Default Going to hospital in the morning for a 5 hour operation
... and I'm not the surgeon.

Some may remember I got Crohn's disease a few years ago, and it's basically to do with that. Hopefully things will turn out better, because it's one absolute mofo of an illness. Someone on here (Mutelight I think) will know what I mean. Not too nervous yet, but just want it to be over now. Hopefully I'll be posting again shortly!

Good luck mate, my missus may have it, as she has all the symptoms.

As if it wasn't bad enough that she has CFS/ME, IBS, DDD, and a ton of other things, she is heading for a Colonoscopy in the next month or so to diagnose whether its Crohn's she has.

All she knows at the moment is anything she eats apart from Rice cakes and Salad makes her immensely ill with severe stomach cramps.

Good Luck in your Operation tomorrow, hope you come through the other side and get a better quality of life after this.

Incidentally one of my ex-wife's friends had Crohns's and the only thing that took the edge off the pain was smoking Cannabis, as her medication for it was pretty useless she said, doesn't sound good tbh.

Good Luck anyway !!

Good luck. Crohn's is a pretty crappy illness, and I wish you all the best.

You need to get a permanent marker and draw an arrow pointing to your groin saying - DO NOT TOUCH!

The man just had pretty serious surgery. Give him some time to recover. Even if he has access to the internet at the hospital, I wouldn't expect to hear back from him till tomorrow at the earliest. He's not really going to be in the mood.

When someone at the hospital starts playing with their smartphone and browsing the internet, we call it the "cell phone sign", which indicates that unless there is a specific reason for them to stay, they're ready for discharge.

I can relate bro. I have CFS/ME + Fibromyalgia + my Stroke (Bloot clots everywhere in my veins in my brain and Chronic Severe Head Pain 24/7) + a few endocrine disorders.

Yeah I'm a complex medical case, to say the least.

Hope you are resting (and recovering swiftly), and on the good stuff!
