I much prefer the Lambo as well but they're not exactly in the same price range.

You can buy every Viper model ever released for half the price of that Lambo, including this new one.

Have to admit, do like a Lambo right back to the Countach days... how much is this new Viper anyway?

Ballpark MSRP will prob be in the 90-100K USD range. I don't see it being much more/less than that.

Very true. Although, i'd rather have just one of those Aventadors than all the back catalogue of Vipers. There's just something about the aesthetics that really makes me drool. If a car can make you horny, this one would get it right in the tailpipe. [busted]

Not sure if this has already been said but to me it's more of a testament to what a beautiful design the original was. It's now 20 years old (1992) and the new model is the same shape and still looking great. If you look at the original it would still look fresh if it appeared in showrooms today.

I wouldn't go this far...

Also I do not really think this car can be compared to a Lamborghini or Ferrari. They have their own league.
It's more between a Porsche and English superclass cars.
It has not the finesse as an Italian supercar.

It's supposed to have the brute force of a massive american engine but held tightly by FIAT reins this time round.

It won't have the spirit of it's predecessors but I'm willing to bet that it will be a damn good performer on the track.

I'm not normally that into American cars visually, but I think this Viper's great aesthetically.

I'll agree that the Viper's look has been timeless so far. It still looks modern. Much like the FD RX7's do.

The Rx-7 screams 90's at me and their headlights say 80's.

Nice little feature on the story of the Viper so far. If I saw that 1989 concept model at a motorshow today I wouldn't think it looked out of place
