A lot of it depends on the employers. We are highly incentivised at work and promote a close-knit culture. As a result, everyone feels involved in all of our work, regardless of seniority or ownership and morale is high. The same is true in most digital and creative agencies I have worked at. Also, most economists will tell you incentives just don't work past short-term gains, so it is something else that motives your work place. I think that of the much laziness has to do with improper education in a sense. That is just my guess though. The best thing I have found is to put lazy people on ignore and work around them. You cannot let people like that bring you down. |
