There wont be any problems. They wont even strike for at least a week or maybe 2.
Even if they do the government will just get someone else to drive the tankers. All the wankers panic buying just make it worse for everyone. Keep calm and carry on as normal, for **** sake. People filling up like 10 jerry cans worth of fuel when delivery's are totally as normal as it stands. Just causing havoc and shortage for others by hogging all the fuel. There is PLENTY to go around at the moment. Most are dumb sensationalist panicky idiots that are hogging gallons of fuel because god forbid they might have to WALK in the school run !!!!!!!! God forbid. They are just draining the petrol stations dry for people that ACTUALLY need it. |

There wont be any problems. They wont even strike for at least a week or maybe 2. --- Post Update --- So those with a second car with more than 10/20 litres of fuel in are breaking the law? Bungle was just giving you an example of what amount of fuel 10/20 litres is. A car doesn't count as a container. Here is a pretty good reason not to store petrol (although luckily there aren't many people this stupid around): http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/new...hen/r/?ref=rss |

DM, if it contains petrol, it's a petrol container... it was stretching the point, though
![]() Stoned one, I very much doubt the tankers will be able to get round and fill all the petrol stations in a week and, even then, many of the motorists will be needing to refill either partially or fully. Using military drivers may not be as easy as you think, while a DG licence may not be required under emergency measures, they'd still need to learn how to operate the equipment, learn their way around, etc, and how many would be HG drivers? Then, if the depots also come out in support...? As for storing petrol in their garages, what about those who don't have garages? Some will no doubt make the mistake of storing it in their homes or loose in the bots of their cars, with the increased potential for a nasty fire. |
