Default Money has been spent, happiness ensued.
Nitto NT05 summer tires. Uses = Auto-X, Track Days, and limited street milage.

$670 out the door. Less than I could have spent, but painful all the same. Still, I needed them badly, the old tires were truly shot. Now i just need to purchase a set of Drag Radials to put on the 16" rims I have for drag strip days so I don't tear them up at the strip.

Nice, I'm looking for light-weight, tasteful, relatively inexpensive rims and good tires for my car soon now too.

They look nice. And that's not a bad price

They seem to be rather similar to the ones I just got. Federal RS-R.
They cost a bit more, but I guess mine are a bit bigger radius?

I got 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear

Your's are slightly larger diameter. But I'm wider @ 275/40/17 square setup.

I'm keeping my 16" rims though. I may eventually put a set of R-compound Hoosier's on there for track days. The smaller footprint will give less rolling resistance and the compound will give much better traction. Plus they'll be cheaper.

As it is, these tires should enable me to corner in excess of 1G lateral grip. The Auto-X guys love this as a street tire.
