Loud neighbors - What to do?
 

So my downstairs neighbors are some punk ass kids fresh outta high school. And EVERY day they practice their crappy music for hours on end, sometimes until 3am! They are directly below my room and it literally rattles my walls, and vibrates my whole room. Makes it impossible to lay down or sleep cause there's soo much bass.

I'v stomped, played my music loud, I even went to knock on their door once, but they didn't answer. Punks.

So, what do I do?

Call the leasing office and complain, Continue to knock on their door with a pistol, ?????

I would call the office, but they're so hands off, they'll just suggest I try and talk to them, or call the police. Really? Bleh, worth a try with them I guess?

Leave a polite note on the door. Don't threaten to call the police in the not, just ask them to be considerate of the time and volume. If they continue to do it then call the leasing office or police.

It'll start off polite... but then i'll get angry and start drawing scribbles and stick-figure images of me murdering them ;P

Don't you have any sort of official noise control where you live? If they're that bad, I expect they're pissing off a lot of other people in the area as well. if they persist, the authorities should have the power to confiscate their instruments/amps.
If there's a common fuse board that's accessable outside their flat, can you turn off their power/pull fuses when they're making a nusance of themselves?
For most people, 10pm is as late as it should go during the week and midnight for the occasional party at weekends - later if they invite you.

I called 911 on two guys that lived above me once, they were straight, just loud ****ers. I said it was a domestic dispute, and I was afraid the bigger guy was going to hurt the smaller one.

Get some big bad people to do a home invasion, just make sure they get the right house.....

Don't start with notes, does not work, just gets their punk asses irritated, just call police, simple. It is a disturbance, let the cops handle it... call from a phone box if you don't want anyone to know it was you...

An ex-girlfriend of mine had some issues with some kids that lived in the next apartment and she stupidly called from her house and instead of reporting a noise issue she mentioned that there were drugs on the premises. She was charged with Obstruction!!!

See if you can "accidently" shoot into their apparent from yours.


The apartment my brother used to live in, someone shot their gun off in their apartment beside his. The bullet when through the wall and my brothers bed. After the cops came and did their thing, this guy didn't get into any trouble.

Leave a note first time. Then call the cops / lease office for the second strike. If those guys don't do anything to help start covering the guys door and door knob with animal and human feces.
Could always call the cops and claim that you notice a strong smell of marijuana coming through the floor.
