Bueller... Bueller......... Bueller.................. Ferris Bueller's return
To the big screen announced this Super Bowl? Or is this going to be some kind of elaborate Honda commercial
|
Wow, if he dyed his hair I think he would probably look exactly the same as he did when that movie first came out.

Mmmm, Mia Sara - check out Undertow and Black Day, Blue Night (IIRC) for some nude scenes!

The whole commercial is out. Not too impressed. Depressed by it, actually. Not once did I think "cool". And Ferris was the epitome of cool.I must have watched that movie 50 times, if not more. Personally, I think that movie should be required fare for 10 and under.

This is horrific, how can anyone actually like this crap? Another precious childhood memory raped in the name of marketing.
|
Wow, what a sell out.

I agree with Lazerbeam.

Goes to his uncles school and it is war between them. Just a reboot with them all getting together and playing hooky from work would suck. The only way it would work is if the tables were somehow turned on Ferris, and probably not even then. |
I thought it was quite funny. It's obviously designed to be a spoof and not taken too seriously.

The premise would something like: Ferris is now in the running to be the Mayor of Chicago, his beautiful wife Sloane and best friend Cameron are now his PR team. It all starts getting a bit too serious for Ferris, so he decides to take the day off, hijinks ensue leaving Cameron and Sloane spinning like crazy to try and keep Ferris in the running. Ed Rooney is in the running for Mayor also and sets out to prove Ferris is unpredictable and unreliable, determined not to let him get away with it again, queue more hijinks, including Rooney trying to break into Ferris' office and getting his ass kicked by Ferris' sister again, who is now Ferris' head of security. There should also be a side story running at the same time, with Ferris' Jnr and Camerons two kids, a son and daughter (Ferris' GF); their story virtually mirrors the original film, with the kids narrowly escaping begin caught by Ferris, Sloane and Cameron. Leaving their unsuspecting parents thinking the sun shines out of their collective asses, except Camerons son of course, who wrecks his dads car, which is the same model Ferrari that Camerons father had and that Cameron had bought as a sentimental reminder of that day. |

A "rape" of childhood memories? A "sell out"? Get a grip people; it's just an advert.

I blame unimaginative middle aged people for the sad state of the movie industry. Why is it everyone is so obsessed with nostalgia and reliving their youth? From crap comebacks of indie bands to rehashes of classic films. It's devolution in action. --- Post Update --- Quote:
