Default Internet Radio Keeps Cutting Out
I'm trying to listen to BBC Radio 4 over the internet and every now and then the sound cuts out for a second, then comes back in again, and I miss what was said. It did this when I was listening to Radio 7/Radio 4 Extra the day before yesterday, and the day before that. When I listened yesterday it was fine, however. It's only started doing this since they launched this new Radio Player thing, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Edit: I think I should add this is on my PC.

Got Dropbox? I found that can effect your streaming, even if DB isnt actually syncing and not actually doing anything..

It could be the actual station having buffer problems.

Yeah, I do. Next time it happens I'll try shutting it down. Thanks!

Radio 4? Now everyone knows you are the saddest guy on earth.

Buffer problems can happen for loads of reasons; server is being slow (probably because only 1 person listens to R4 over the net so the server is probably a p233MMX), your net is dropping packets, etc.

My boss likes Radio 4 and sometimes punishes us by playing it in the office

Nothing wrong with a dose of Radio4 every so often... just not so often.

I don't listen to it all the time. Just sometimes in the evenings, and when I'm in bed going to sleep. ATM I'm mainly listening to Radio 7/Radio 4 Extra though.
