Hello..I have been an ardent listener of "A Word from the Holy Fathers" and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one...will there be another one? What happened? I miss them dearly - they helped me get through the week!

Dear Maggie,

The broadcasts went on hold over the summer period. They are set to resume from the first Monday of October.

Fr.Matthew....still wondering if you are going to broadcast on AFR...now that it is the end of 2010. I do not see anything new. Blessings.

Fr. Matthew has died... but don't fret, it was a good death. Maybe Fr. Irenei will be willing to take them over. ;-)

Dear Father - don't scare us all like that. To those who didn't follow this at all - remember that Fr Matthew has taken monastic tonsure and was given a new name Fr Irenei. Fr Matthew "died" in the sense that the man in the world is no more, but is now the monastic man, that is, Fr Irenei.

Yeah, what's the big idea? Now I have to coax my heart back into my chest from my throat. Monks aern't supposed to be funny Fr. So please be more monkly won't you in the future? Us serious types can't handle a God that has a sence of humor. Oh, but wait. How then could we explain the poor platypus? Maybe Darwin was right after all......That would mean God does have a sence of humor. So please go on teasing our poor weak constitutions. Even us serious types need a smack of joviality every once in a while.

Will Father Irenei be resuming with "A Word from the Holy Fathers"? I would love that! Miss them so much.. I keep listening to the old recordings over and over again. Please keep us udated.
