Nobody in the UK offers you £100 more than a selling price and then signs off with thanks and God bless.

Sounds exactly the same as an Ebay scam, they send extra cash, ask you to send asap then do a reversal on the Paypal transaction, that has scam written all over it, especially God Bless lol

Edit: They WILL pay money into your Paypal but 24hrs later it will be removed.

About 90% of the time, if you have to ask yourself that question then it IS a scam.

Would you offer to pay £100 over the asking price?

Maybe you could open a new paypal account, have him pay the money into that, then withdraw it immediately and close the account

They say it doesn't arrive, Paypal initiates a refund and you have to put the money back.

Just not worth it.

I would say yes - contact Ebay and tell them the account may have been hacked.
They probably won't do anything about it, but if they do, it may stop others falling into the trap!
Also protects the account owner.
