Default F1 season kickoff! Name your top 3!
And here we go again... The first race of the year is in four days, many of us F1 fans have been waiting for it over the winter!

So let's do a little early season prediction, shall we?
Name the drivers you think will occupy the three top ranks at the end of the season! At the end of 2010, we'll dig out this thread again and crown the winner (if there is any), and award the FM F1 Cookie of the year!

Let me start with my prediction:

1) Fernando Alonso
2) Lewis Hamilton
3) Felipe Massa

I think Ferrari threw away 2009 so early, they'll argually have the best car on the grid. Alonso is a double world champion, I think he'll beat his teammate. Expecting Hamilton to fight for it all the way though. Not sure the Red Bulls will be just as fast this year. We'll see!

Over to you boys.

Going to be about eight drivers with a show at this point - need a couple of races in the bag before making a call.
Yes, I know I'm woosing out!

What I would like to see is this:

1: Hamilton
2: Button
3: Webber

Although I think anything can and will happen and really can't wait for Friday practice!

On more serious note.
I would like to see the old man win at least one race this year. Championship will most likely go to either Massa or Alonso.

I personally don't think Button will be on form this year.

It's all about Schumacher this year, I mean if he wins a few races or even (shudder) the championship he'll go down utterly as a legend and the greatest F1 driver ever.

Even if he doesn't due to an uncompetitive car, but ends up beating his team mate Rosberg, then Rosberg's career is pretty much screwed, but Schumacher can still blame the car..! = Win

I just think if the cars are much heaver (no re-fuelling) then Jensen's driving style might work to keep the tyres in better condition, I'm no expert though and he'll need to have a helluva car again.

Hamilton
Alonso
Vettel

In no particular order. I'm still waiting to see how in form Schumi is. Button too.

I think the most likely contenders come the end of the season are Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel who I think have a very slight edge over their respective teammates.

Mercedes appear to be slightly off the pace but with Brawn and Schumacher back together it's also impossible to right off the old guy.

Of course we won't really know how they truly stack up until this weekend!

I can't ****ing wait.

1) Hamilton
2) Massa
3) Michael Schumacher

I expect both Red Bull drivers to be quick also. I also think Rubens will be pretty handy this year. I think Alonso will struggle to match Massa, and Button will shine after a few races.

However, what the hell do I know, this is going to be one of the most exciting seasons with so many what ifs... [thumbup]

1. Schumacher

Mercedes apparently have something a bit special lined up for this weekend which could be akin to the double defuser last year. If that's the case, I really hope Schumi can make something of it. I really want Massa to show Alonso up and Vettel is just amazing, combined with how Red Bull performed last year ... here's hoping.

Obviously no real idea until the first race, and even then who knows (can you believe Kubica in the BMW was heading for 2nd place at the first race last year ...), just what I hope for really

1 The Ham
2 Eyebrow man
3 Rosberg

Yes I said it, I think Rosberg could be stronger than the Schu.
