Default Oooh.. Whose been here for 10 years.....?
....I think it's me!
I just noticed and I thought I would be self-indulgent about it
(LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!!)

How many of us are there in the double digits now?

I forward a motion that anyone whose been a member here for 10 years or more should get something good - like a free copy of 3DMark 11 or a 10 min presentation by Futuremark about how great we are.

....or maybe I'll just shut up now

According to your join date, would it not be 1 year and 1 month away?

Ive still got a "new" K6-2 500Mhz in the original retail box [rofl], keeping it as a collectors piece.

As good as the TNT2 was for Q3A i remember upgrading to the GF2MX later in that year and that with the TnL patch blew me away, it was a massive increase.

I remember the very first gaming-only PC I built, which lead me to MadOnion waaaaaay back in the summer of '99 with 3DMark99 Max. (Which I got in the summer system-builder issue of PC Gamer, which I still have! ) I lurked around since then... with Video 2000 and 3DMark 2000; but didn't join the forums until Feb 2001.

My specs on Jan. 1, 2000 were:

P3 600EB (133FSB! [shocked])
Intel i820 Slot 1 mobo
256MB PC800 RDRAM
Diamond GeForce 256 DDR
SB Live! 5.1
IBM 14.4GB 7200rpm ATA66 HDD
Samsung 8.4GB 5400rpm ATA66 HDD
Creative 6x DVD-ROM w/ DXR3 Decoder
Kenwood 52X True-X CD-ROM

When I walked to get my diploma (I had graduated in December) in May 2000, I upgraded to:

Abit SE6 i815 Socket 370
P3 733
256MB PC133 SDRAM
ELSA Gladiac GTS 32MB (EDIT: Forgot that, which was my graduation present from my mom along with my watch!)
IBM 75GXP 45GB ATA100 HDD (THE infamous DeathStar, which has survived the odds and still spins up and works to this very day!!! )

I remember benchmarking my system @ my "graduation lanparty" in December 99, followed by some gratuitous beer drinking & Q3A playing through the wee hours! [thumbup]

Can't wait for my 10 year!
