The vast majority of arguments can't be solved through slurs (how do you solve an argument anyways? Isn't the issue resolving them?). Many fights can be started with them, though...

What about the argument "what's the best homophobic slur?" You can't win that one by such flat assertions, you have to back it up. And yelling like that doesn't convince anyone.
