I had ACL reconstructive surgery a few years ago. After my surgery and after all the swelling had subsided I was placed in a leg cast, then they sawed it off and sent the cast off to have a $3,000 dollar knee brace made to keep my knee stable. Females by nature have weaker knees due to how God created us, why this is I do not know. That's just what I was told. I was able to pick the color from the brochue and there was every color under the sun on there, from white to black, tiger stripes, zebra stripes, camo pattern, you name it, it was on there. I choose a darker blue color so that it would some what match the PT uniform. I did not need a profile to wear the brace with PT gear but I needed one saying I was authorized to wear my post surgery behemonth brace over my uniform when I came back to work until I was able to move down to the smaller custom made one. It was so bulky that it was uncomtable to wear under my uniform. The brace helped tremendously and after about 9 months I was as good as knew and no longer needed it. I was never questioned about having a profile, I guess people just assumed I was on one since I was wearing a brace.
