Default To Golf or Not to Golf
The question is simple do you golf or wait.
Up here a few courses are starting to open the grass is like a brown brillow pad the greens are a brutal or even may have temporary greens so do you book a tee time and head out? or Do you wait two to three weeks and let the better courses mature a bit and golf on better courses?

Playing is always better than not playing. If you want your favorite courses to get lusher and greener, play a local muni or goat track until it fills out. Practice - on the range and on the course - is invaluable IMO.

Get out as soon as you can! I agree, playing is better than not playing.

play, play, play.
teeing it up in those less than perfect course conditions will only make you a better, more well-rounded player.

True, we have nothing to fear but blisters, and lightening ... and spiders!

If you come down to Lethbridge Picture Butte Golf Course is open and in pretty good shape.
Some brown patches on the ground but it's starting to turn green and the greens are in pretty good shape and the regular greens

Get out and play at every possible moment that you can. You'll only regret it later on in the year when you feel you could have practiced more

That really is no question, you PLAY.

Who cares if the conditions are less than ideal, go out hit the ball around and get a feel for the game again. Then when the course conditions get better, your golf game won't be so far behind from lack of practice.
