Won men's league last night!
 

So last night was the last one for men's league out here this year and we managed to win it all http://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...ies/banana.gif

We started the night 15 points back of the first place team but they had the night off due to 5 teams being in the top group and we were 5 points up on the team behind us.

Maximum amount of points you can get in a night is 40 but during the regular season 24-27 would generally be the highest amount of points for a team and less in the playoffs.

We tried to give it away though only managing to get 18 points and being the low score for the night but we managed to limp into first by 3 pointshttp://www.thehackersparadise.com/fo...milies/bye.png

Anyone else's leagues over? How did they go?

I'm in a Saturday morning league. We have an end of the year tournament coming up in October. So far, I've managed to keep my handicap down to the lowest 2 or 3.

My putting improved greatly this year, however, my scores fluctuate way more than they should. Still not a "Ball Striker". I am a Scrambler!

Congrats on the win. I was asked to join one next year by a guy at my work, thinking about doing it. Good luck defending the title next year.

our league is split up into two halves with the winners of each half playing each other for the championship. we won the first half and actually had a really good chance to sweep with the outcome of last weeks' match, against another team that was one of four that were tied for the chance at winning the 2nd half. unfortunately, my partner and i both played horrendously awful bad golf and even though we got 5 strokes, we still lost...that was also the first time we've EVER gotten strokes before. it's a ridiculous league really. partner played terrible, i followed suit very uncharacteristically, but that's golf.
so as it turns out, by them beating us...they won the 2nd half, and we are playing supposed to be playing them 18 holes this Sunday for the championship. either way we're in the money, and it will be a good time.
will let you know how it goes.

Way to go, currently I'm holding firm in 10th.
Its a mixed handicapped league. Doubtful I could catch the #1 place ,but you never know.

It was nice playing when something was on the line to add a bit of pressure.

Congrats on the league champ status! Just means you'll have to represent next year! We're actually going into the second round of the playoffs next week in our league. Luckily, we were able to secure 3rd place for the regular season, so we got a bye last week.

Congrats, that's awesome, I got put with two random people for league this year and neither one of them cared about winning, I think we ended about middle of the pack and that was only due to one team forfeiting a week against us and me having a few good subs for a few weeks. I will be finding much more serious partners for next year's league.

Our playoff was 2 weeks ago and somehow my partner and I managed to win the 2nd half but we lost the playoff with the 1st half winners by 1 stroke!
I did win the most improved golfer trophy though!
