I will jump right into this. I Won a contest this month that will give me one free foursome round per month on an online booking website, which is amazing since I don't think their is something better to me then free golf!

The good news to people on this forum if they're interested in putting up with me since I am not a good golfer and I sometimes lose patience on the course is I want to offer the 3 extra spots to some of you since I don't know 3 people to golf.

Every month I will pick 3 new people to play if it's an overwhelming response to this thread. I live in Southern CA so it will be open to people in that area and possibly going to some courses in surrounding areas if they peak my interest and will take suggestions for courses as well. I will be playing Black Gold Golf Club sometime next month and thinking possibly this Sunday playing Los Verdes Golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA or sometimes by the end of this month.

I am 24 years old just putting that out there and have been playing for a year this month, so I am new to the game. If anyone is interested in this month playing at Los Verdes or the following month at Black Gold here in CA post in this thread and if there are more then 3 people interested I will use random.org to pick who goes once again it's free for you to play other than how you get to the course we play that month.

Congrats! That is awesome! I used to live in Torrance and would have loved to join you on some of these rounds. Los Verdes is a nice course with great views! It will take forever to finish the round so make sure you plan on a 6 hour round. Congrats again!

Very cool. You can add me to the list. I'm always looking for a round and would love to meet some fellow THPers. Im a little farther north, Santa Barbara county. Ventura county is an easy drive for me and would be willing to drive farther as long as you don't have a 7 am tee time.

You are absolutely right, there should be one, or even several. I organized one about 18months ago that was a lot of fun with a decent turn out. I have since tried 3 or 4 times since to get another one going but never seem to get the interest from the members from SoCal. I know there are quite a few members from SoCal as I see them pop up on most of the threads for testing equipment. It would be cool if we could of gotten a THP tour van stop out here but it really would not make sense for JB and GG to drive all that way if only a couple of people showed up.

Hi Thank You Everyone, we should have an outing. As for the Sunday Tee Time might not work because it's fathers day I forgot that, but I am working to see what course it will be, because I didn't like the times they had avaliable the time I am looking to play is roughly around 11AM-12pm. I am just trying to organize this, but I will keep everyone updated.

WOW what a cool thing to win. If you ever need someone else, Mr. Blind 9 and his business partner are always up for golf. His schedule is pretty flexible too. He's not on the boards much - I am instead - but he's a good person to think of when you need to fill a spot for a round. I know it can be hard. We get complimentary rounds sometimes from our reps. We scurry around looking for our good customers to take - but schedules are hard to coordinate, people back out, etc. We always think, "oh, if we had an emergency extra (which used to be me before the baby)". Just throwing it out there if you need it. I don't want to take another person's space - but again if you need a 4th, let me know. He's a decent golfer - but not amazing so you won't feel like you are holding him up/keeping him back. And, he plays with me and I'm terrible (you know, the I take 12 strokes on one hole kind of terrible). We are in Alhambra - but he drives all over for golf (business or pleasure).

Yeah I mentioned before that we should get an outing together. Should we shoot for mid July or is that too soon? I'm available just about every Sunday and I can usually work out Saturdays that I need off pretty easily.

I played Black Gold like two years ago when I was also only a year into golf, and I remember it being fairly difficult, but pretty nice!
