I CANNOT hit a green or get it close from this distance, 75 and in. I hit it fat or skull it, I'll hit it sideways or 7 inches off the ground like a scud missle. My 52 degree wedge is broken and all I have is a 60 degree and it is killing me. Any suggestions on wedges or advice from this distance is apperciated and wanted. If you have wedges laying around that I might could try out, I am willing. I am losing lots of strokes from this distance.
Do a half swing PW or GW and use the perimeter weighting and forgiveness of those clubs. This was the advice given to me by my Callaway fitter when I wasn't sure if I wanted a 50* Dark Chrome Forged wedge or to use the AW from the Razr X iron set. I don't try to hit my wedges from 75 because I have the same problems. Another thing to try is to chip it up with a 7- or 8-iron.

Consider chipping with a hybrid if you have a good lie etc.

That's a good idea Hanks, and one I was starting to do a few months ago. But I didn't stick with it, even though I liked the results a lot of the time. I think I'll try again when I start playing again.

I love that play man....gets the ball on the ground faster and minimizes chances for mistakes for me

I like this option too as well and tried it quite a few times and the outcome was always good. Normally with 75 yds I use my 54* SW or my 50* GW depending on the lie. Once you get hold of another wedge, just keep practicing and you'll get there. Fat shots, skulled shots, thin shots, etc. thats the game of golf and I enjoy it!

75 yards is a partial L wedge, and since I can't practice anymore with 3 kids in sports and a wife that works, I don't leave myself that distance. I will leave myself 85-90 yards or farther out or greenside, that way I don't have any partial wedge shots. Makes lay up calculations on par 5's a little trickier, but full wedges are much easier to hit the right distance for me.

If you're really struggling from that yardage, see a pro and it may be a simple set up fix. Most golfers have a poor set up with a wedge(ball too far forward or weight at address out of whack).

Dude I couldn't hit the green from 75 yards out if my life depended on it so when I got the ATV for testing it was a great experience to test it 75 in, sure enough I've been able to hit the green consistently with it today I hit it onto the green leaving it this close to the pin from about 73 yards. . .

Spoiler
I would check out the ATV and maybe it will complement your game! Yeah buddy!
Love your new Avatar by the way. I used to own a 73 Les Paul Custom.

Oh on this thread... bump and run with a 8/9 iron works if you have enough green to work with or 60% Hinge and Hold with a PW. Good luck.
Why wouldn't you just get a new 52? It's not that expensive.

Like a lot of others have said, try taking longer iron and using a shorter swing. From 75 yds I'm probably using my 9i, putting the ball back a bit in my stance, then swinging slow and easy from the 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock positions and let the ball get up in the air for a while and then run out towards the green. That's starting to save me a lot of shots instead of trying to use a more full shot with the SW or 60 degree wedge, often leading to shank to the right.

Yesterday on a par five I layed up to an awkward yardage, 60 yards with a 58* wedge, a 3/4 shot to two feet, birdie.

Just tappin away
