Default Golf swing after 3 yrs...
Like I said in my intro, I've only been playing for 3 years and haven't taken any lessons. I just like the challenge of figuring out what is going on with my swing and seeing if I can correct it. I've studied a lot of swing tips, but kind of just pieced mine together over the last 3 years. I've been fighting a bit of a block/baby fade with my irons and driver, 3 wood and hybrid have been very solid, so I went to the range today and recorded my session. I couldn't get the video to load, but I have a frame-by-frame with an 8 iron. As a noob, I'd like to hear some of the veteran golfers opinions on my swing.

Just wanted to say that I think you have a great swing.

It's not real clear, but going off the 3rd and 4th frames shown you might be a touch inside on the take away. Although it's pretty tough to make out due to what appears to be missed frames, would be better to see an actual video. But I'm not an expert by any means.

in my opinion it looks like a solid swing, but hey I'm no pro, my suggestion would be to either as Tadashi-he's very knowledgable-or post this in the ask the pro section I'm sure the Golftec pro could point out some great stuff for you! Good luck with your Golf game Big Frank!

Yeah, I used an app for my iPhone(which also was the reason for the poor lighting) and for some reason I can't get it to convert or upload to the forum. I'm still working on it.

As far as the GolfTec forum, I thought about that, but it they are busy and I hate asking teachers/pros for help without paying them for the info.

You should try downloading the Nike Golf 360 app for the iPhone. It allows you to post it to the Nike Golf 360 website to share with others. Also allows you to do a lot of comparing and analysis.

I'm not going to give you advice on your swing, but I will tell you this: the next time that you shoot video of your swing, put the camera in line with your toes, not the ball. You have the camera in line with the ball, which will make you look like you are off plane even if you are directly on plane. Easiest way to do that is put an alignment stick or a club on the ground, set up the camera in line with that, then come back and have your front of your shoes just barely touching the stick or club and then place the ball on the ground.

Yeah, I noticed that after I got done today. I need to quit using my iPhone camera and beg my photographer sister to come film my session or borrow her tripod.
