I'm on Facebook, but not nearly as much as I was for a while. Anymore, it's more to see any of the new announcements from the company's numerous different FB pages.
I don't really put up too much that's personal there - too many people at work are friends, and you'd be AMAZED at the idiotic things people will post on FB when they have their boss as a friend... |

setho would be a good person to hit up for advice. he seems to be pretty nifty with that stuff. I do the book of faces as well as twitter.. Feel free to add me. I already follow SethO on twitter thanks to a THP retweet.. I feel rather stalkish because of that haha |

same here....no interest or desire. too many issues with it and I know for a fact that my co. monitors it. Some people are totally clueless when it comes to information/pics/etc that they put out on the internet.
the only 'social media' tool I use is LinkedIn for work on occasion but that's monitored here too. Me neither. Not even remotely interested. But I am glad that it is a place that some enjoy. |

Yep, I use Facebook every day. I have several THP friends on there and am a farmer too. In fact, I know several THP farmers! Hehe. Luckily I'm more addicted to golf than the farm these days but I am a dedicated farmer in the winter. It's been neat to put faces to THP members, especially those I will be meeting next week at the outing. |

I'm on facebook just to keep track of family. I check it about once/week. I 'friend' the old high school people mainly to keep contact for class reunions. But, then I end up using "ignore" on most them if I find that the only post stuff liker "TGIF" and "Eating dinner with so & so", etc. I find that 90% of the posts are a waste of keystrokes. Along the Yuccos reply, I also don't "friend" anybody from work.

I sorta hate FB. It opens this window that allows access to information you don't want everybody knowing about you. It also creates awkward social situations, imo. For example, a coworker that you are friendly to asks to be your friend. You can't really say no, but at the same time, you don't really want them knowing you wear socks on your head.
I don't really put much on FB and I block anybody that is an attention wh***. I hate the chronic complainers, political garbage, and cheesy inspirational stuff. Just not my cup of tea. Wow, I sound like an old, crotchety man. That said, it is really good for stalking people. And, I do like it to keep up with what's going on in my friends' lives. Especially ones that I don't really see that often. |
